Red Dot Design Award - T1M Utility Digital Tape Measure

Red Dot Design Award - REEKON T1M Utility Digital Tape Measure

After more than 187 iterations ahead of the final design, REEKON Tools has received its second Red Dot Design Award for the T1M Utility Digital Tape Measure!

When we set out to design the T1M, one of the biggest pain points (of the T1) we were looking to solve for was size. The more seamless the size could be and feel compare to a standard analog tape measure the higher the adoption would be for the everyday user.

T1M Utility Compact digital tape measure

Combine this with the already difficult challenge of balancing ruggedness to belong on a job site with technology to add value to end users, our design team had their work cut out for them.

In the true spirit of a design award (more than just being a logo and award) and, as the T1 Tomahawk inspired dozens of competing products with its novel form factor and layout, the T1M is similarly distinctive and trend setting.

Its compact size without compromising on core layout all while being optimized for utility makes it a valuable job site companion helping usher in a new wave of job site data generation.

Congratulations Bartlomiej Saminski on leading the design efforts on what is sure to inspire the next wave of digital handheld measuring tools (and copycats) along with Edgar Sutawika for making it a reality.
